Any relationship is going to have disagreements. Do you have any tips on how to disagree with one another without hard feelings? There is always the old standard, "agree to disagree" but in major topics, that doesn't work so well
Hubby and I can get a little heated sometimes, but it's never ever ever come to name calling or one of us threatening to leave. Even when I'm most angry with him I force myself to consider what kind of an impact my words will have on him in an hour when we're not fighting anymore. We will clash, snap at each other a couple of times and then stop talking for about 10 minutes. When we calm down, we will revisit what bothered us the most about that issue and we'll apologize for our guilt in the situation. Once he's apologized to me for whatever I think he's done, it's easier for me to calmly explain why I was upset and vice versa. I have learned that I need to not get so defensive and expect him to read my mind, and he's learned that I won't talk to him if he's yelling so he has to be calm or it won't get worked out. I think it's most important for us to admit our faults and humble ourselves - there's hardly ever a time when one of us is 100% right and we both realize that most of the time, our collaborative decision is way better than what he or I would come up with on our own. We respect each other above all, and it helps to keep us civil and productive.
I find it easy to agree with other half cause it easier than fighting.
I just say yes ananything else i do wrong and try to better myself that way.Or other word i say is what ever.
Stress and pain dont go together so i try to kept the stress sown and dont bother agruing back.
Another thing i do is sit in my room with door shut and watch a movie.
Sometimes i will the house for couple of hours and come back home and things have settled down.
I have a strange marriage in that we have never fought in 18 years.
The only time was when I told him I was getting a divorce ( to get away from a woman he works with) no kidding.
He sent me to the other side of our house. For weeks he begged me not to divorce him. I was moving things to my dinky apartment where I planned to end my life. ( it is not illegal to kill oneself) So I changed my mind and did not divorce him.
Now, I am away from her as he has changed jobs. He has not developed any new female work spouses or admirations for others at work - that I know of.
So we continue, each of us, in our great depressions and we exist and do not argue or fight. Strange as that is. You can realize this as abnormal behavior.
