The problems you are describing are somewhat common for heart attack survivors. They only go away whe you stop focusing on dying and start living and enjoying whatever time you have.you've already wasted 8 months worrying and yet you're still here.

Trust me there aremany people far worse off. Suck it up and stop with the self pity...your choice

No self pity here. I still get up and go to work every day and take care of everything I always did. All I was asking was this feeling normal? This is the first time I even sought out a support group just to see if one existed. Just wanted to see what positive information was out there. Thank you so much for your response. I was afraid to DO ANYTHING after gping into heart failure 6 years ago. There's a term for it I read about, but can't think of it right now. In my own mind, I defaulted to resting all the time thinking that would help me get better and I wouldn't get an angina attack. I have small vessel heart disease and would get them all the time
Since then, due to having to work and still being very young, I had to make a decision. I either gave up and would have to go back to very painful EECP treatment or I would have to push myself like never before.i ended up moving to a third floor condo and passed my first stress echo ladt year. I celebrated by going out and having half a double cheeseburger!!!

Don't be too hard on yoyrself. For me, it was very emotional to be that close to death and I needed to heal physically emotionally mentally. Be kind to yourself and don't be afraid to live again.

P.s. get a support group around you, join the heart association, lose the weight (I'm an emotional eater myself so easier said than done). Get your cheerleaders together. Are you still having those feelings? I had my heart attack in June of 2010. They inserted three stents. I spent the first two years feeling the way you are feeling, and more. It is common for women to have that feeling of doom, it can be very strong and extremely frightening. I was an emotional wreck for two years after my attack. I cried over everything. I would start crying in my sleep and it would wake me up out of a dead sleep. The sadness came from deep inside and I thought it would last forever, but gradually it faded. I still carry my nitro with me in my pocket at all times. I also have the weight issue. I developed Diabetes, along with a whole slew of other issues, but emotionally I am better. Find someone you can talk to about these things, someone you can relate to. Try to exercise or walk every day, even a little at a time will help. I will gladly help you thru this if you like. Good luck and remember that weird feeling is probably due to the fact that your body has been thru a MAJOR trauma and you might feel that way for a while, but eventually you will begin to feel less weird.
