In answer to your question, it could be a number of things ie medication, low OX levels, being spoiled, feeling sorry for himself and so on. It could also be a common side effect many heart patients suffer, depression. Or, it could be a combination of all those things. I would suggest you consider bringing the problem up with one of the doctors.

He goes thru depression at times, and now facing this new thing wrong with him, is getting to him. I have seen his moods and been on the receiving end from 0 to 100 in a heartbeat and then he acts likes nothing is wrong.
So I love him for the guy he is, not what he has become and know somewhere he is still there somewhere LOL.
So next Thursday we shall find out if they can do the cardio version, then when he will see another cardio guy (think for a pace maker now) and whether or not he has pulmonary hypertension.
but doctor was downplaying some of this and when he goes for followup in a month, we might have to decide next plan of action.
Jim also has emphysema from years of smoking and breathing in welding smoke when he worked. He no longer smokes which is great, has problems of course losing weight since exercise of exertion gives him angina attacks. I use to tell him his warranty has expired ROFL
I almost got kicked out of diabetes group for my humor...they said I was not serious enough, and seemed to not care about "my condition" shoot I weight 112 lb, A1C 5.4 for couple years, watch what I eat, and exercise...wonder how much more serious I have to get..told them I felt sorry for them and left ROFL
