Hello,
My name is jc...I'm a member of the chronic pain board who recently stumbled across this site
And enjoyed the atmosphere so much, I asked y'all if I could join..which you so nicely said yes to.
As I so briefly mentioned..I have COPD and emphesema ..which was found in a series of tests for other things about three and a half years ago. At that time, it was considered in the beginning stages.
As yet..the only treatment I've required is occasional use of the rescue inhalor.
Though..this is likely bacause I lead an extremely inactive life due to other health issues.
As I've only managed to quit smoking for about six months a couple of years ago..I imagine it's steadily progressing.
So..that's me in relation to COPD.
The " big plan" for me is to quit smoking again as soon as I've adjusted to an unrelated Med that's very nauseating..( the connection being, that the only way I've ever been able to quote was with Chantix..which is also very nauseating..and I'm quite underweight from other health issues)
I thank you all for allowing me to join this great group..
..I really appreciate the spirit of keeping laughter and fun as part of life, no matter what.

I managed to quit smoking on the morning of March 28th of this year. Of course on the afternoon of March 28th, I had my very first ambulance ride and ended up in the hospital for 4 days, so that helped with the not smoking. Good luck and don't give up.
I also need to quit smoking, but I won't talk about it or Grannie will have my butt, as I know better.
Any questions you have, just ask, many here will be happy to help. We have the finest bunch of people here.
