I have been slowly making my way towards an Exacerbation that I felt was going to land me in the ER. Well on Tuesday morning it hit. Shortness of breath, dizziness, and chest pains that the emergency inhaler could not settle down. O2 levels were good. After a boat load of test and several doctors with different diagnosis My stress test (almost 6 minutes on the tread mill before I could not breath.) showed heart was good but I have PULMONARY HYPERTENSION.

Do any of you have this? If so What meds or treatments are you on?

Been a strange day. Took my Spiriva and as lately got a little light headed ( see Older post) then took a shower. dried off and got dressed. Then i took my Advair, and next thing i know I was on the floor. Wife said i hit the floor like a load of bricks. I can only remember setting the inhaler down then the floor. Been light headed and winded all day.

I go for my test on Thursday the 23rd.

I had that happen several times before going on O2. I hope you didn't hit anything on the way down.

Me to Mr. Puff the first time I fell I could feel my self going down but could not stop it. Hit my head on a chair, small cut. Then again I went down and split my head open, my neighbor took me to the ERE covered in blood they took me right away. Then after 2 weeks in the hospital I went on 02.

Puff, so far hit only the floor. Happened again this morning.
Grannie, Yeah, your right it is a sign. Think it is time to start looking into Glow In The Dark O2 tubing

My honey bun said if it happens one more time she is calling my DR..

I think she should call your DR. Sounds rather scary to me. I have felt dizzy a few times, but sat down, never passed out.

I now sit on the bed and take my meds just in case.
Ans she has her phone in hand in case I do Jazz.

Good, I sit on the edge of the bathtub, the bed sounds safer. Since we have to rinse after, I like to be close to the sink.

never thought of taking in the bathroom. i keep mine on the dresser so take right there and then go rinse.

I mainly use a nebulized form.. good in some ways cause you have to sit during the treatment and it gets in better. I forget when I use rescue ones to really take the long slow breaths and not only do I get dizzy but they don't seem to work as well.

Thinking about you and sorry to hear about everything you've gone through. I totally understand the feeling of being frustrated and depressed, just try to take one day at a time or even one minute at a time. Hope you start feeling better.

Deb thanks for the thoughts and support. learning to take it one day at a time along with knowing my new limits seems to help battle the frustration.

Dozy: Doing the test tomorrow. Looking forward to getting some answers. When you use your nebulizer do you use the same meds as in advair or is it just abuterol?

I use the Nebulizer Flash and I use Ipratropium Bromide/Albuterol Sulfate, every 6 hours...it does the job. Let us know what the Doc says.

Good luck today and hope you begin to get some answers...
I use the albuterol in neb or a combi like Grannie if I need more relief than what the handihalers of Tudorza/ Spiriva does.
Had to stop with the Advair.. never saw it made a difference and it also was one that wonked out my heart.

Was surprised today to find out doc added a couple little test to the others today. Blood work and a CT.
P.F.T. showed me severe with my meds. (upper range) I usually do not take meds before a P.F.T.. So with my meds I was about the same as last time with out the meds.
6min walk. O2 levels were as low as 94 and high as 98. Started to wheeze at the 4:30 mark.
echo and ct not back yet along with blood work so will let you all know as i do.
