Ima
There "Are no rules here".......... Dozy keeps us in line.
Only thing is:
MsBlank's "Cabana Boy" is off limits.
and...Beware of Mr. Puff's "Soup Of The Day".....can be a little raunchy.
Seems like more and more of ya want a piece of him!!!! LOL
Mebee he can take shifts and help Mr. Puff with soup!
I'm nuttier than a fruitcake....when I'm around. Pull up a chair and sit a spell. Will have cabana boy serve ya up some of grannie's roadkill and Mr. Puff's soup :P
Great meeting you all but sun's going down and I've spent way too much time on this dang keyboard. Take care.
And as for the soup......I'll give you my portion.......I think it's skunk jerky soup. Most folk around here are not up to sharing....but I don't mind since I have to watch my carbs these days.
Yes, I am a COPDer having smoked 2+ pack/day since my rebellious teens in the 60's. So here I am, nuts like every one here, trying to make the best of a foul situation.
So be it. Must go .... pudding is tooooo brown on top ........ urgh, another oopsie. :-)
Welcome.....I'll get some brandy carmel sauce to put on that "slightly" overly browned puddin!!!!
I didn't think it got cold in south Africa. I don't get out much.
I also don't have COPD. However a 3 pack a day habit for over 20 years has laid the groundwork....but hope I dodge the bullet too.
Just so you know, don't waste your time trying to "borrow" MsBlank's boy toy. She's very stingy with him. Grannie tried to borrow him all winter and was refused. She even offered some of her cornbread and beans for bribery.
Grannie is a very good cook and a published author. Her best selling cookbook has made her filthy rich , so I suppose she could buy her own boy toy. Here's a copy of her cookbook...... ... http://i1265.photobucket.com/albums/jj512/MrChestnut/Fiftyfour/possumrecipes-parts-big1.jpg
MsBlank is secretive about her business, but I suspect it involves the CIA. Grannie has connections with the CIA too. I suspect that they can most likely see us through our computer monitor. That's why I always make sure I'm wearing pants, and I'd recommend that you always do the same.
Deb doesn't seem as crazy, but I'd bet there's some well hidden skeletons there.
There's a few other nuts to watch out for too, but I don't have time to explain all of them.
Ima...watch out, this one will get you when you least expect it, I urge situational awareness.
Gro... This guy seems to be on a suicide mission to get murdered by a blond.
IDozy.... Is the founder of this forum and rules with an iron hand. She will surely be questioned when Gro disappears. She is blond.
There are many more
I hope to retire from working on live victims....I mean ppl in the near future.
Mr. Puff tries hard to act like he rules the roost around here, but we only take him serious when he is wearing his red boots :P
For the most part.....it's pretty quiet around here while we wait around for soup.....hoping we each get picked for the prized soup made form roadkill and other odd tidbits.
No worries tho......you are less likely to die from his soup and grannie's road kill than some "accident".
I have to change avatars often to keep "others" from finding out my true identity....that is why I'm a "Blank"....the MS part is a mystery (or it use to be....lol).
So when do we all get some of that bread and butter pudding? It will be a welcome change from soup!
Oh May and MsBlank, dodging the bullet is a hit & miss affair - no one can really explain why some smokers get shot to hell with this disease and other heavies get off unscathed. In my case, we owned and ran a laboratory for testing various construction materials and many kinds of noxious chemicals were used in the processes. Our environment was pretty toxic, though no one really thought about it at the time. The smells were more of a complaint than anything else and someone usually bore the brunt of teasing. The pulmonologist lays blame for our emphysema (yes, both hubs and me .... aaargh) and said our chain smoking was kiddies play by comparison.
So if you can dodge the bullet, you're the lucky ones - my neighbour wasn't so lucky and he'd never smoked a cigarette in his life. Same case with my GP's mother. We just happened to draw the short straw.
Bread pudding turned out terrific - dished up 4 servings between the two of us, not much room left for Mr Puff's soup of the day... please don't save the pot scrapings for me, will rather wait for badger casserole ....lol
