I've been having a SOB period the last 5 days while I'm visiting my son in Ft Pierce, FL. since I arrived on Tuesday, Sept 17th. I have my concentrator with me and I ordered 30 Z Pack pills from ADC and Combivent. Needless to say, ADC forgot to send me my Combivent which I need right now. But the question is: How many MG's are you're Z pack pills? I ordered 250mg pills and I think my Dr prescribes 500mg pills. My lungs are still congested after the 5th day of the Z-pack, which you do 2 pills the first day and then one pill everyday for 4 days. Usually by the third day my lungs start to clear out and I'm able to get back to my normal COPD level. And I'm still taking the prednisone taper with about a week left of the minimum dose daily. Please Advise, Thank you all.

I called my Dr office and he was prescribing 500mg antibio's the last two times. Cipro and another antibio med. So I'm doubling up on my 250mg starting today. I think it should do the trick. I haven't really had an out of the ordinary SOB spell for quite sometime and it really bugs me since I'm with my toddler son and family visiting me all week and I'm forced to hang out in the condo while everyone else goes for walks on the beach, playing golf, etc. There is a pollen alert here, so that might be another reason I'm SOB plus the humidity level is much higher here than in St. Thomas.
humidity really gets to me any more. i find if i "pace" myself and don't try to "keep up" with others speed, but let them slow down to mine that it helps me not get so SOB also!
do you have an allergy medicine you can take in case it is that?
