Not very far, from my bedroom to the kitchen these days which is probably about 35 ft.

it depends on conditions (hot, cold, windy, humid etc)...I find if I slow down & pace myself I don't get as SOB.
I have a tendency to get "busy" outside & start rushing and also not watching my Sp02 close enough.
When i rush & my 02 drops i get many symptoms from weak legs, feeling light headed, sweat (even in cool weather) pours off the top of my head (any one else sweat out of the top of their head?)
Also, if I don't sleep well I seem to get more SOB than other times---there seems to be a lot of factors with me.

if i have 'perfect conditions" and pace myself, like on my treadmill, I can usually last 1/2 hour (when in shape---in fact i need to get back to that, right now i've been slacking so i can probably only do about 15 minutes top.

One of the mysteries of this disease.....Some days i get breathless walking from lounge to kitchen.......sorta breathless walking the dog if it is too hot or too cold.......ALWAYS on a small incline and yet can cruise thru the 6 min walk like i can go another 6 with no worries......

It is really weird...

I can go pretty far if I go slow with no incline. incline gets sob right away. if I walk regular pace I cant go as far. and it depends on humidity and such

I go 2 minutes into walk before i get short of breath.

Also My heart rate goes into the 100s around 120 to 135

Another strange thing i have noticed is if i push thru my start-up SOB then it seems to get easier....Maybe getting moving after sitting still emphasises it and once all the different muscles get into sync, then it gets easier......only my theory....don't go collapsing at the letterbox cos you believed me oi..

Yesterday was SOOOO WEIRD....I woke up feeling ok even though it was 6am n it takes a few hours to get functional mobile.....Yet i had no inhalers to take as i had a LFT test......The usual 4 rest stops between high level carpark to the furtherest part of hospital where of course, they located the Respiratory unit.......was a breeze with zero stops n no SOB..

The return home was the same and all i can say is.....It was just one of those Miracle Days.....oi.

qwapo= it's wonderful when I have a good day. I used to take so many things for granted.
So glad you had a good day when you had to go out for the testing (hope it didn't mess up your tests results, but doubt that could happen).

and yeah, why do they put the lung clinics so far?

I went to check out a Pulm Rehab once that was 3rd floor and a mile of corridors (it seemed a mile) to get to the room it was to be held in.
Heck, I was too worn out to excersise once I got there; I always wondered who designed that one! lol

Actually i had one hiccup.....I usually get a free parking ticket, so u pick one out of machine, gate opens n in you go.....

When you leave you put your first ticket into slot, followed by freebee ticket, except i was listening to 2 people quarelling next machine along so i inserted freebee into where credit card/cash slot is...

Got in my car, drove to boom gate exit with heaps of cars behind me...had a Rowan Atkins Look (Mr.Bean) inserted>>>>rejected.>>>>>inserted >>>>>rejected.....Turning red so picked up emergency phone....Give the attendent a mouthful about the crappy state of their machines>>>>>Waved to everone n told them the machine was broken and smugly drove out.......

Typical bad behaviour...

My SOB all depends on how hot it is. I live in Georgia where it is pretty warm all the time. I get winded going to my mailbox. In Washington state I was able to walk slowly all day long and not get SOB. Also I use a rollator so that takes a load off. I try to plan my most difficult chores right after Spiriva, Breo and nebulizer treatments.
