gosh, it has been known for years that most people are low vitD & that it automatically be screened any time CBC is done.
most people get a yearly physical & that includes a cbc (mine does anyway), that checks your vit D and also calcium levels~~~calcium & vit d go together.
also it needs to be vitD3 or it isn't absorbed & is a waste of your money.

i found it interesting that vit d can affect blood sugar levels so needs to be used with caution with diabetes---hmmmm
