update on my breathing difficulties

Just a quick update on my breathing difficulties,I saw my doctor this morning as I didn't fancy a wait of in excess of four hours at the ER.He examined me and,as suspected,told me I have a very bad lung infection.My right lung,to use his words,is "in a nasty state",my left lung?,unfortunately it's worse than the right.I'm now on a course of amoxicillin three times a day for a week initially,to be reviewed at the end of that period.Until then it's rest and taking it easy,thanks everyone for your support and advice,have a blessed day,

I'm glad you saw the Dr and I hope the antibiotics work very well, and quickly. Hope too that you can make lemonade out of that lemon and really rest and relax this week!!!

I am glad you got to the doctor.

My doctor just prescribed me an antibiotic to keep at home in case I need it.

Don't forget the chicken soup.

Scott, I just saw your post as I've been preoccupied with repairs on my house. I'm so sorry to hear about your lung infection, but I'm so glad you went to the doctor to get checked out!. Rest and recuperate. I'll be praying for you, my friend.

Prayers sent that you recover well, I have taken so many antibiotics, I am becoming intolerant to them and having allergic reactions.
Amoxicillin is one of the most tolerated so hope it works for you.

Please feel better soon! 4 hours in the ER waiting room, that's not too shabby! Mom has experienced 12 hours, I had to wait 7 or 8...

glad you are on antibiotics..and like the rest said..just rest, and drink that chicken broth etc...
