I use a swimmers backpack..They are insulated and have alot of pockets on outside..Also extra padding for shoulder and where the back of bag touches your back....I also use the small foldable shopping cart if I plan a long day...take care...Joanne

A friend made me a cotton purse I carry my goodies and my tank in it. I have several one is denim with a shoulder strap. I love it!

I have had folks stop me an ask.."where did you get that", my friend has made some extra $ making them. Got a friend that sews?

Just yesterday I bought a small (young child's) backpack for $7 at walmart. (It's got a basketball player image on the back. LOL) I got it to wear when I vacuum and mop.

Her oxygen supplier should be able to get her one, They are also sold online. I just got a hydration backpack at walmart , and my tank fits into it also. You could also try sporting goods stores.

My oxygen supplier provided a sort-of small tank-size backpack to carry the tank, but like your mother, between purse and car keys and the thing always slipping off my shoulder, I was not enamored of it- it's okay for toting around the house, but I didn't like it for trips out of the house.

What I have found is that a very large purse solves the problem quite well. I got the one with the link below at Walmart, and I put my tank, strap and all, into the purse, and with the pockets inside to organize things like keys and cell phone, and the size allowing me to fit my tablet, wallet, two pairs of glasses, and the kitchen sink, I am able to carry just one bag. The handles are big enough for me to carry it on my shoulder, but I'm tall enough and the hose is just the right size for me to just carry it by the handles if I want.

In addition, at only $12, I don't have to feel guilty if it gets kicked around, styles change, mood changes, or even getting several. I've got a zebra stripe one that I used all winter and a flamboyant bright summer print that I've been carrying since May. I wasn't sure how well they'd hold up because of the weight, but they've exceeded my expectations.

Personally, I like the purse idea better than the backpack. To me, a backpack would be inconvenient since I'd have to take it off every time I got in the car. I have a carrier that holds the O2 tank (provided by my supplier) that I carry over my shoulder but I agree that trying to deal with it, plus a purse, can get rather cumbersome at times.

Out of curiosity, I just googled portable oxygen carriers and found that they all had one thing in common...they're not terrible attractive. (Granted, I didn't check out a lot of sites.) I know it's not a priority, but it does seem as though they could make them a little more fun. And pretty.

i buy a purse that is the right size.cut a hole to let the pulse thing hang out with several pockets to put my needed things in and it works wonderful to carry just one thing. and i like shoulder strap to carry with ease.

ps when i buy a purse i look for one that has a couple of large pockets (and a couple of small ones) ...that way i can use one pocket JUST for the 02 tank; so i can switch it without pulling all my junk out, and then the other big pocket for wallet & larger stufff, then i like a little pocket for my keys & chapstick that i get to all the time---it takes some playing around to see just what you like, but all the ones i have made i have gotten under $20.00 at kmart or walmart. (my latest one has a couple of rings on outside that i put a clip on my keys & can clip them to my purse :)
then i get the "free" fannypack (from my supplier for work hands free work outside my home :)
