Vitamin D, Calcium, Fish oil Omega 3's, mulitvitamin, b 12, I am not sure any of these really get into your bloodstream enough to do much help.

What do Aloe caps do? I don.t think I hace ever head of them....

1200 units of calcium with 400 of magnesium (for osteoporosis) and a multivitamin. Not sure they help (no point of reference)...

I am going to copy part of the description from right out of the brochure (that way I make no mistakes). Hope this helps give you an idea of what the Aloe Caps are.

I am not making any garauntees that the aloe caps are what is keeping me out of the hospital, but I do firmly believe they are a good part of the reason. Got to have something that gives me hope, right?

Yes, it all sounds good to me!!! And it could very well be the thing that is keeping you out of hospital, .......

Ok can i ask a silly question? When people say they take say 1200 units of this or that how do you work out what that is...to put it simply one tablet of Vit.D/Calcium is how much....never says anything about that on the pack info!!!

Gwapo, the measurements of supplements are always on the package. Either on the front or back. They can be lissted in IU = International Units, or mg= milligrams or mcg+ micrograms.

Your Example of Vit D can be found on the front as 1000, 2000, 3000, IU (units), etc. Out Spriva is listed as 18 mcg on the container.

Hope I haven't confused you but I think you probably get the idea now.

Just a note....

I have noticed on OTC bottles lately that you have to peel back the label to get the full information of the product. So, if you don't see it on front or back, you might want to take a peek where it says "peel back."

Do think its a good idea before taking any supplements to check with your doc first, just to make sure there's no interaction with any of your medications.

I take1200mg calcium w/D, 1000mg vitamin C, 400IU vitamin E, a multi-vitamin, 250mg magnesium and 50mg potassium.

50,000 IU vitamen D weekly, 1500 mg Calcium daily, 1,000 mg fish oil daily, B-complex daily, 400 mg vitamen E daily and drink lots of water, no soda or alcohol

I am with you on the Aloe Vera, although I haven;t yet tried the caps. Use Aloe Vera Gel for burns with very good results. As supplements I use Vita D3, BCalD, Fishoil, and Magnesium.

I have an actual Aloe Vera plant that I rescued and it thrived. When I have a burn, I slice a little off one of its "leaves" and rub the gel from the frond on my burn. Heals it right away. Aloe Vera is good for all sorts of things and as it's a form of cacti, its very easy to grow.

I agree with you jamsnmjazzy, aloe is good for so many things. I used to drink the aloe liquid, but not just stick with the aloe caps. I too, have an aloe plant....wouldn't be without one.

For several months I was taking Fish Oil, co q 10, L-Cartinine, Digestive enzymes, N-Acetyl Cysteine with vitamin C, probiotics, Marshmallow with Fenugreek and Cordycepts. I also took liquid calcium with magnesium and Vitamin D . I was also taking Curamend (a supplement form of tumeric good for pain and inflammation.) I felt really good, more energy, was sleeping good. All of the supplements are supposed to be good for the lungs. In a routine blood test just before Memorial Day 2 of my liver enzymes were way over what they should've been. That past month I'd had prep for a bridge and 2 crowns and the day after the blood test had the permanent ones on and got an absessed tooth. Went on antibiotics which made the enzymes go even higher. My family doc told me to go off of everything but my spiriva. Went to Mayo 6 weeks later and the hepatologist spent 5 minutes with me saying my enzymes had come down and I shouldn't have been taking supplements to begin with. He was not nice or helpful. He wouldn't even discuss what supplement he thought might be causing the problem. Currently, have not taken any supplements for 2.5 months and notice my breathing isn't is clear, I have pain, less energy and don't sleep as well. See my regular dr. the 27th. I doubt she will want me to go back on any of the supplements. Sorry about the long post. My point is I think supplements can and do help if they don't cause you side effects or problems.
