to get me moving. LOL
I wonder, could I get a Toyota Corolla made in the same fashion? lol
From the old days.....'big and metal' :)
We have a Toyota Sienna that was adapted. Ours was done by Freedom Motors in michigan, but there are places all over that do that. There's a picture of mine in my photos. The VA paid for most of the adaptations & Val I agree. I wouldn't want to be on the road in US traffic in that tiny thing & it's really expensive for what it is. It really gave me a lot of freedom when we got it. My hubby's always had some kind of adapted vehicle, but not all automatic like the one we have now. I'm not strong enough to get my scooter out on my own. VA has been very good to us over the years. I got a chair lift up the stairs, otherwise we would have to live in a one story. Which would be fine by me! They also paid for our BIG walk in shower, It's very cool. Guess if your going to get yourself disabled you should do it in the military! Just kidding, but they do take care of their own:>)
Besides...yes, I am chicken :)
course that was back in the big and metal days. Nowadays cars are like soda cans on wheels. 'Cept for my Corolla, she's a good one, took a couple of lickins and still a-ticken!

If it has a motor I can drive it!
I brag I can drive anything........almost! I drove school buses all sizes and if I can drive them I can drive a wheel chair!
Hey I had to take more tests then throse 18 wheelers ever had too!
And I had a CDL!
So what's a little wheel chair...lol
I don't know about what you are talking about did you take a car and redesign it so you could drive the wheel chair into the car and not have to get out and you can drive while sitting in the wheel chair is that what you mean?
They sell mini vans at the dodge dealer...........
My question is how did you pay for it? And how do you get whom ever paid for it, pay for it?
thanks
