Hello. I hope everyone is doing okay. It's a rainy cold day here in Japan and I am for once thankful I don't have to be at work.
Yesterday, armed with all my data I went to get my second opinion from a pulmonologist. He was in agreement with my main doctor and diagnosed Bronchiolitis Oblterans. Tomorrow I will go through a day of tests to determine if I am strong enough for a lung biopsy. These tests include a spiro breath test, scans and something they called a six minute walking test. I will be put on the transplant waiting list once all this data is accumulated and submitted for further evaluation.
And so it seems like I do have BO. I feel okay about it. I can't really do anything but keep going. Anyway, I just wanted to share.

There is a closed Facebook group you may want to check out. It is open to anyone who has been told they need a lung transplant. I first heard about this group from a 34 year old man on another copd support forum. Like you, he has BO and was put on the transplant list. He said it was an active group and a good place to get answers to his questions. It's worth checking out.
