i put in salt air inhaler and a few choices came up.

When you find the product in Amazon there are usually reviews you can read. I think they said the porcelain one was best but also more expensive.

i always go read the reviews like jh suggested---amazon always gets a lot of feedback to find out about stuff, even if you buy elsewhere :)

I was wondering the same thing, buickoreo. I read reviews all the time on Amazon & other sites. You cannot always be sure what is real on those sites. Much prefer reviews from people I know, like I feel like I know my DS friends. Any feedback, anyone on here? Thanks.

yes i thought thats what the fotum was for?idont prefer to get my med info from amazon,has no one used it with results they feel were acually nbenificial?

I tried one for a coupe of weeks and did not see any difference, I think it is just another gimmick to get money out of people hoping for a simple solution to a complex problem. My feelings.

thanks for the hands on experiance,i was wondering if you could dilute sea salt and water and use it in a nebulizer?any thoughts?

I don't use a nebulizer so I'm afraid I would not be a good one to comment on that.

I've never used one & I don't have a nebulizer so I can't comment on that. I use the seawater nasal spray to open up my nasal passages when I'm stuffed up!

I bought the ceramic one a few years ago. Used it for a while and it did help my sinus problem and it did seem to help deep breathing. Put it in my med cabinet and forgot all about it. Ran into it a few weeks ago. Decided to give it a try again so replaced with new salt and having been using it again. Does help my sinuses. Just before going to bed last night I was concerned that I was getting so stopped up. Decided to use it and within 20 minutes I could feel my sinuses breaking up and slept good all night. Not sure what it does for the lungs but when I use it I do deep breathing and in that respect it does help open my lungs a bit.

My Dr said absolutely not when I asked him about doing that last fall.

But, I was in the ER after fires and was given some vials of saline to take home to use. They didn't use it there on me.
I saw no difference between the salt and albuterol honestly.

Wow, Curt, you sold me with the sinus help. I've been dealing with bad sinus issues for weeks, so I think I'll give it a try. Anything at this point. But, I would follow Promises' doc's advice and not use any homemade things in my nebulizer. Thanks Curt for the info.

i use just "saltine" nasal spray & i also gargle with salt water sometimes.
and if i'm REAL desperate i do the ol "netti pot"

i don't like the thought of inhaling things into my lungs if i can avoid it as humidity gets me bad enough.
call me chicken, but nothing goes into my lungs except inhalers that dr prescribe!

wanst there someone experimenting with running our air tube thru salt once?

ps "promoses" your dr told you absolutely not & you did it when the fires/ER gave it to you?
