Morning my friends,
Just putting this topic up to try and get to know a little more about it.My wife found this product online and mentioned it to me,it's a salt pipe inhaler,you inhale some salt crystals through it and it apparently helps with COPD/Emphysema,asthma etc:,and its supposed to have a beneficial effect on your breathing,anybody heard of it?,I await your comments with interest,have a blessed day friends,

I have heard of this. About six months ago I saw a video on U-tube about this. Don't remember what I was researching at the time. Although the person in the video praised their findings regarding this, there were a few things I wasn't comfortable with. The only one I can remember right now is, I have high blood pressure, so the salt aspect of this, just would not work for me. I have insomnia and I'm racking my brain right now trying to remember what I was searching for at the time I ran across this. Blessings

Good morning Silloutte,
I have never heard of inhaling salt, so I looked it up, and it seems lots of folks swear by it as a natural healing, anti inflammatory thing. They even have "salt rooms" where for $15.00 per hour you can go inhale salt.
Seems it is special salt, not your table variety, it is Himalayan, or crystal salt. Same for the inhaler if you buy it, you can also buy the special salt.
Very interesting, but like JackieOno, it might be wise to run this by a doctor , especially if you have high bloodpressure.

I read about salt therapy a while back. At the time, there was a lack of credible scientific research that indicated it helps.

I got a Salt lamp a few weeks ago, but I could not swear it is having any effect.

i think they are making salt lamps and stuff now days to "cleanse" the air...i don't know if it works or not. i have a hard time thinking of inhaling anything into my lungs any more for fear i'd do more harm than good.
i'll stick to my air purifiers & a/c that filters the air as my allergies are killing me~~~ we are about to have our second alfalfa cutting of the season yippeeee :/
