I am hoping someone can recommend a portable oxygen machine - I have an airsep freestyle but it only goes up too 3 LPM - I have recently been increased to 6 LPM - can anyone recommend a machine that would work for me - at home I use the helios tank with a 50 ft hose - but I try to get out as much as possible and would love to find something that works for me to get out.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I don't think they make a portable O2 concentrator that goes any higher than 6. I think evergo makes one that goes to just 6, but just on pulse :>)

So far they don't seem to have developed one that goes above 6lpm as Deb stated.
But pulse driven ones that will go up to 6 lpm are the Sequal Eclipse, Respironics Evergo and the DeVilbis iGo

I would like to find a portable concentrator I could actually carry, but the only one I've seen first hand so far was really heavy. I could probably carry up to 10#s on my shoulder. Any ideas? Thanks for whatever information you might share.

Love my Inogen G 2.. currently having a seamstress modify the carry case - adding padded backpack straps so I don't have to have one shoulder bearing all the weight. Absolutely love this machine!

Thanks for the info. I'm going to check out the G-2 for sure. I so look forward to being able to get out a little more with a smaller portable oxygen set up. (Big smile for everyone!)

Ahh... apparently Inogen has now come out with a backpack for this ( $110) and finally and additional charger unit so you dont always have to use the machine to recharge batteries ($295.. OUCH!!!)
Considering the machine is over $3000 new to start and additional 24 cell batteries run almost $00 you'd think they'd be a tad more reasonable on the prices but oh well.. its still an excellent amachine

Man.. did my fingers do some mistypes or what? Know you all can figure most of it out but the additional battery is $500. just to clarify. The 12 V takes 4 hours to recharge and the 24 v takes 8 hours ... wonder why it takes so long to recharge these things... ah well.. some electric genius will get smart and develop on that recharges faster.

Ya but the G2 is WAYYYY better than what I had to use before for traveling. I have gotten used to it over my shoulder to and from the car to the stores. If I am going to walk without a cart, I take the G2 cart. I just pick up my unit and out the door. No more filling, etc. And it's quiet.

Do you think it is durable enough to serve both in the home and on the go? I have a home fill system with a portable, but I'm renting and would like to know my options if I need to buy a new set up when the rental contract is up. Thanks for any info/opinion you can provide.
