Pulmanary Rehab

Saw the rehab people. No stress test required. I start the first week in September after we get back fro the NYS Fair in Syracuse. I see the transplant team Thursday and Friday for the next round of hoops to jump through. PFT, consults with financial people, head shrinker, etc. I will let you know how it works out.

Zeno, More power to you, and I wish you much success. I had pulmonary rehab about this time last year, and it did me a world of good. Start slow and just work on getting stronger and stronger. Take care, Bill

Zeno, I had pulm rehab last year, too, and loved it. My only regret was that it couldn't continue, but it was instrumental in getting me started on exercising at home on my own, which seems to have been very good for me. I wish you luck!

Pulmonary rehab was/is great. It helped me not only with breathing but I had more energy and my mood was better. Best wishes!

It was pulmonary rehab that got me started at a local gym in the Silver Sneakers program. I've been a little lax here lately but I've begun going back again since I'm in physical therapy for a non-respiratory program anyway and the gym is right there. It is amazing how much difference even light exercise can have and you begin to enjoy it after you get in a schedule. For some reason (probably humidity, heat and dew points), I cannot exercise outdoors so it's perfect for me. I have to take extra o2 bottles but I have a little cart so they just go along with me.

Hope you get lots of positive results from your experience as well.

Aww Zeno...I'll miss you then, cause we are going Saturday. I'm going to rent a scooter at the fair. No oxygen for me since I only have it at night.

It's such a great time at the Fair. The weather is supposed to be great all week, maybe an evening shower or thunderstorm on Thursday night.

I went several years ago and I learn a lot and had excursing with the equipment was interesting and learning curve for me.
But i wonder if they ever let you go thru it again if it was so long ago and forgotten some of it? or would that be cheating on my part? Oh well...I should of recorded it darn it.
It was worth it going!!! is all I'm saying way too long :P
