A few days ago I received a letter from Lynn's husband, Steve, in response to a Christmas card Dennis and I had sent her. I am just going to post it here. For Steve says it far better than I could:

Hope everything is going well for you and your family. I am glad Lynn touched your lives in a positive way; unfortunately Lynn passed on Thanksgiving night. She fought till the end, and is very much missed, I was lucky to have her by my side for 36 years. Best wishes in the future for you and your family.

My heart goes out to Steve and all of us. Lynn is a fantastic woman and was so full of love and encouragement.
She will be mightily missed.

ty for posting this elsie; i corresponded with her regularly and she was always one to worry about me & not herself.
i know she was starting to suffer & that she never wanted that.
her correspondence stopped so suddenly that i had a feeling and have been worried horribly...this hurts so bad for me, but thank you for sharing as not knowing is worse.

i cant say enough good about lynn

Thank you Elsie for sharing this about Lynn. I had wondered how she was because she stopped any pm's or posts so suddenly, but I was hoping it was just for a rest . It breaks my heart that this disease has claimed another wonderful person, and I hope Steve knows that she has touched the hearts and lives of so many out here.
God be with her family, and I pry they find comfort and peace. I know she has .....

I know she's in a better place. But, she sure leaves a lot of friends on here really hurting. We had just began to get to know each other. She was a sweet, caring, compassionate lady. I will miss her. So much sadness here lately.

Lynn's last private message to me was Nov. 17th. Checking up on my son & me...We grew up in the same area & she spent summers in my hometown. We wished we had met on the beach way back then. I'm in total shock and just heartbroken:( She was a true gift and a sweet soul
with the best sense of humor. I Just can't believe that bright light has been turned off so suddenly. May her family find strength at this difficult time.

ty you elsie for the post....I am totally stunned...she said she wasnt doing good,that was just before Thankgiving...hadnt heard from her since then....I just thought she was taking a break from all the sad news on here lately......I thought she would pop in here when she was feeling better.....may she rest in peace....she will be truely missed..she was always so helpful to me....

Ty Elsiesue. I too was wondering what was happening to Lynn. Had heard she wasn't feeling well a while back and sent her a hug. She didn't respond back. Now I know why. I'll miss playing songs with her on Jim's music posts. I guess the best thing we can do is cherrish all the wonderful people who are still with us and also the ones we've lost.

Thank you Elsie Sue. Though Lynn and I never physically met, though we grew up in the same geographical area, just miles from one another, we shared many of the same passions for life, including the music of our era.

Having said that, this goodbye is for Lynn. May her strength in the face of adversity give strength to her family!
