I have been using meds from All Day Chemist in India for at least 2 years. I am very satisfied with the meds I get from them. Both my primary care doctor and pulmonologist know I get my meds from ADC and they are fine with it.

I first heard about ADC on another copd forum where many people have been using ADC for years and recommended it.

I don't know your income, but I know just about all the major pharmaeutical companies have plans that provide the drugs at little or no cost to those of limited means, and I don't think you have to be ridiculously indigent, either., and they send like a 6-month's supply. I know for sure Symbicort does it, not sure about the others but would assume they do.

I've heard great things about All Day Chemist, too.

Here is the link for ADC. Everyone that orders from the company say it's very reputable. Also you can call and ask about the medication you need, since the names are different than they are in the US. They will help you.

In the meantime tell your doctor to give you as many samples as possible. Some doctors don't like to give them out and some will give you as much as you need. Where are you getting your meds now?

I get advair & spireva from adc too & have not had any problems. SO much cheaper!! I like to keep antibiotics at the house & you don't need a prescription.

I don't see where you guys think these meds are so cheap. I have COPD and I have cancer. For instance I take Decadron. If I buy 120 at Kroger I pay $33. If I buy 120 from ADC it would cost $82. I compared several other meds I take and they are much more expensive from ADC than just buying them here. And how do you get antibiotics without a prescription? Just curious as I have seen conversation on this place before. Thanks, Nancy

At ADC 120 Decadron pills cost $20.70. You misread the price. It's NOT 69 cents per pill, but rather 69 cents for *four* pills. You would need 30 packs with 4 pills in each pack to equal 120 pills.

(30 pack times 69 cents = $20.70 for 120 pills).

A month's supply of symbicort costs me $8.57; a 90 day supply of spiriva is $31 and a ventolin inhaler is $3.50. There is no way I can get these meds here in the US for these prices.

Even though ADC's web site states you need a prescription, you don't.

GSK or Glaxo Smith Kline, the makes of Advair, has a great corporate program. I fell in the donut hole in Medicare last year in early April due to the high costs of these drugs. Your can get their application right on the internet, print out your part, take it to your doctor and have it sent to GSK. They sent the remainder of the year's supply directly to me. Pfizer, the makers of Spiriva, is more difficult. I was just $100.00 over and they refused me for this one. Their program is very strictly income based. As an alternative I went to Canada Pharmacy Online and they have a generic for Spiriva up north of us. I believe that it comes from India. I used it for the rest of the year and could tell no difference. It cost me $140.00 for a 3 month supply and goes by the drug's generic name. You might want to investigate that link and the India link is you are unable to qualify with Pfizer financially. I know the nightmare you are going through. I was in a constant state of panic the entire month of April last year while I worked my way through some of these programs. You need to get started right away cause you need your meds and it takes a while to get through all the programs but keep posting - you'll get lots of ideas out here I'm sure.

Reading the costs at ADC here, I was amazed. I have supplemental insurance in addition to Medicare, so my copay is $10.00. A 90 day supply of Spriva for $31? That alone would save me almost $20, not counting my other meds. Can you order any without a rx?

I hate to keep saying for fear of drawing unwanted regulatory attention, but, apparently you can, Jams, although I think they avoid, or at least don't openly acknowledge, the schedule C type narcotics.

I used to be extremely paranoid about any medicene or food that came from other countries. Then I tried to refill a stomach medicene "Carafate". They told me there would not be any for awhile as they were making sure it was safe because it was coming from Japan and after the earthquake the plant could have been exposed to radiation, HA stupid me just thought it came from here! No wonder unemployment is what it is! I guess if the good Lord wants us he will take us whenever he sees fit.

You didn't sound rude or snippy to me.

You do not need a prescription for anything at ADC. As I said, even though ADC's web site says you need a prescription, you don't. The first time I ordered from ADC I called them and asked how to send my prescriptions and I was told I didn't need one.

Nancy, there is a $25 flat rate shipping fee at ADC regardless of how much or how little you buy.

The meds at inhousepharmacy.biz are more expensive than ADC, but they don't have a shipping charge. If you have a small order, inhousepharmacy may be cheaper.

Lots of our medications we get here in the US are not made here. Because we get them in US drugstores we think they are manufactured here, but they are not.
