Carry it all!! You don't know what you'll run into....like a friend

OK I have a larger tank in my back seat of my car and when i traveling around town....I use that one. Then when I decide to get out I use the smaller one I bought with too. That way I make the smaller one last as long as I can. And believe me or not it works.
First I live 25 miles to anywhere out there like doctors etc. Hospitals or whatever....even further.
So the question back to you HOW FAR DO YOU WANT TO GO?

I am using the AirSep Freestyle. It is great, lightweight and can be plugged into your car's cigarette lighter or in a AC plug while you are using it. Also, I am leasing mine from my O2 supplier.

I also have a freestyle and like it a lot, about 5 lbs. What I really like best is a little tank and I found on Ebay that goes with my homefill system. It only weighs about a pound and I carry it in my purse. If you are not severely oxygen dependent that will last quite a while. I only need it if I'm walking distances (back and forth to the car, ect. It will last me 1-3 days before I have to refill it.

desertbee: I do the exact same thing. I also carry a rollator in the suv for when there are no shopping buggys so I can put the tank in the basket of it and I don't have to carry it.

Good idea jniate!!! I thought about some type of vech. time to time. Then LOOK I have that other person that goes everywhere with me he is kind of tall and big....so I use him a lot!! He is called husband's arm he likes to carry it all for me....so what is a gal to do?

This at least gives you an idea, be sure to talk to your insurance company to find out what you qualify for.

Morning guys thats for all your replies - I really appreciate speaking with people that understand what its like to have to use oxygen -

I will be watching this thread because I'm thinking I should buy an oxygen concentrator, and if I buy one it might as well be a portable one. I'm on liquid oxygen but my oxygen delivery company's management are not the brightest bulbs on the porch. I have 2 large liquid oxygen tanks so only require delivery once per month. However, today I'm almost out of oxygen and my delivery is for Thursday afternoon, so it is going to be a close call. I don't trust them because in the last year they failed to even remember the scheduled delivery 4 times without being prodded. I really should fire them. An oxygen concentrator would give me the security of a backup system when these service providers have their head up their a$$ and fail to deliver. I'm trying to get by on 1 ltr. till next delivery. Fingers crossed.

I use a HOME FILL UNIT....my insurance so far rents it. But after a couple of months from now I won't have my great insurance as I know it.

1) No more bottles being deliver
2) they have very small portable bottles up to the larger one size fits once in a while
3) the company I rent thru gave me 4 bottle which is unheard of out these parts....I am so good!

I like it! So I am going to be looking for one to buy, probably not thru the supplier. I think you can find them use on line etc.

As for the kind that go on air planes and other places they are very expensive....so that might be on my back burner for now. they are only a 1 lb less then the one I carry around.

That way I don't have to keep up with all the ins n outs with government insurance...I can be free.
