((((HUGS))))) and a lot of prayers for a good report and speedy recovery of your dad
BJ
i don't know about your dad, but for me (and i hear this from others) those of us with this a terminal illness have an acceptance after the initial shock.
personally, i don't fear the death and when it comes it comes.
i just want to live every day i have to the fullest and when my time comes to go, i just want to go peacefully & without pain.
there comes a time as my body wears down that death is not a fearful thing, but an accepted thing.
i don't think of when i will die, but of enjoying the time i spend with loved ones and just daily life and the things i can do to enjoy each day. (yes, there are some down days, but that isn't what i want & work to get out of them)
it would hurt me so much to think of my children stressing & worrying about me like you seem to do with your dad. i wish i could give you a magic pill to understand a parents happiness is seeing their children happy & not worrying.
go get the pet scan, laugh and enjoy your time, go for lunch or something. make every minute count and that will make your dad happy and able to get thru it also.
my prayers are with you. now let god take over the outcome ((((HUGS))))
