O2 levels below 90-92 are NOT GOOD, therefore My (admittedly unqualified advice) is to seek medical help immediate - ER if necessary.
Do they stay there when you sit and relax? If so then I would suggest that you see your doctor as he may want to change your o2 intake. If this has been going on for 2 months, I would imagine that you could get depressed not knowing.
Mine personally drops into the high 80's when I move around, even with oxygen on so I just have to regulate the way I use my energy levels and when to rest. Because organ damage occurs over time when it is in the lower numbers too long, it is imperative that you pay attention to this.
Also talk to him about your depression as that too is common and the doctors understand this.
The best to you.
to be a tad lower.

are you on supplemental 02?
have you spoken with your dr?
i think you should see your dr & ask him about these things as soon as possible.
Lots of "meters" in the treatment and care of us COPD'ers. Lots of "goodies " to use but not a cure in sight.
It is like getting that box of cracker jacks with no surprise inside. Bummer!!
Do they still put those little treats in cracker jacks?
Best wishes...
so sorry to hear that you're depressed, I've been feeling sad lately too. I worked in nursing & I can tell you that we were taught anything below 90 is dangerous. However, I'm learning from my doctor that he considers my O2 to be dangerous when it falls below 95, he explained it as I was taught below 90 is dangerous for elderly people so since I'm only 42 he considers mine low when it's below 95. He also said you can actually feel bad when it goes down even a couple of numbers. and when you're SOB sometimes your O2 isn't low at all. COPD is a terrible thing to have! and I agree with Gnott, seek medical attention right away because your numbers are too low!
What are you doing when your O2 goes down to 88-89? Are your levels that low while using supplemental oxygen? Are you sitting? Exercising? Walking around the house?
When I'm sitting my O2 is typically 93 or so without supplemental oxygen. If I get up and move around, my O2 saturation drops into the mid to high 80s (depending on what I'm doing) if I don't use oxygen.
I use supplemental oxygen at night while sleeping and when I am active. I try to always keep my O2 saturation at least 93.
If you don't have supplemental oxygen, you need to talk to your doctor. Sustained O2 saturation below 90 is not good and can cause organ damage.
I suggest you talk to your doctor, not only about supplemental oxygen, but also about your depression.
I hope you feel better soon.
