Yes it does!!

It has made a huge difference for me.

Though it's kind of a pitb, I really love my oxygen because I can do so much more now than I could before.

Just realized I should have added that it helps MOST of the time. When I'm having a bad day, though, it's not a cure-all and you can still be short of breath even when on oxygen, such as when I developed something (cannot remember what it's called) after surgery. And our humidity has be so high lately, it makes it harder to breath even when on oxygen.

Absolutely it helps! Like Imarighter, I love oxygen: I can do things with oxygen that I couldn't do without it.

I agree with everyone. I could not do without my 02 especially to sleep and lately if I have company, I get SOB just talking so yes, 02 is great!

I also have emphy/asthma. Do you check your 02 with your oximeter?

I like having my oxygen when I need it. I have a little oximeter and
sometimes when I get real low....like 84 -87 .... I'll use it for a while
and it does make me feel a lot better. Relaxes me.

i am 02 and yes it helps the shortness of breath.
also your dr should do a 6 minute walk test test an if your 02 goes under 90 it is needed, when you have 6 minute walk test and you go under 90%
we should never go under 90% Spo2.
you can buy a finger monitor at any pharmacy to have at home to check your Spo2 regularly for rather cheap. it;s a handy quick way to see what your 02 is when you feel SOB.

Yes you're right. I did do an 86 on the 6 minute walk test.

My son got me an oximeter from Costco and it is so helpful
because most times you feel it but there are times when
you think you're fine and it's way down.
