Here I've been struggling through this lung issue for near 2 months, week by week day by day, had little to no progress for about 3 weeks and then was overjoyed when after the 3 weeks I was slightly but noticeably better most every day and got to where I was about, I felt 80 percent better and kind of plateau'd. All along I'd asked my doc for something to hurry it along, give me some antibiotics or whatever, also asked in the ER. No they told me, it's viral, it will just have to pass. The best I got was a puffer of salbutamol (albuterol in the US I believe) Anyways I got a bit disheartened a couple days back and went to a walk in clinic. I told him the exact same things I told my doc and the ER doc and he gave me antibiotics. Lo and behold this is the beginning of the 3rd day and I've passed that plateau and I feel marvelous. Like 95% better, just a bit scratchy in the throat and I can only very slightly feel my lungs......not raw, not sore but just feel them a bit when I breathe which is remarkably better than 3 days ago when I was still having the odd tweak, odd bit of rawness breathing night air. I mean what kind of idiots are these doctors. If I have gone through 7 or 8 weeks of unnecessary infection........ I mean, that must cause some kind of damage though I expect it will repair but it was unnecessary. I am so getting a new doctor. This is his second serious screw up. Perhaps I'd needed only be sick for a couple weeks yet I ate up all my sick time, used all my vacation time and then went into unpaid sick time all because of "no, you don't need antibiotics. It's viral." Well viral my arse. Antibiotics just kicked it out of my body in 2 and a half days. It wouldn't have killed them to try them out on me 6 weeks ago when I was in drastic shape and maybe saved me all this lost wages, grief, worry and physical pain. And by god if there is any permanent damage to my lungs I'd like to see them pay for that somehow.

I mean really. What do you thing of that.
