A week under my belt now. Throat/bronchials whatever it was is already noticably less raw. Cold air not such a shock to the lungs. My original issue which caused my copd to be discovered on x-ray is looking like it is more than likely hiatus hernia, where the top of stomach pushes through the diaphram where only the esophagus is supposed to be able to fit. This in itself can cause shortness of breath as it (stomach) takes up space meant for lungs. Hiatus hernia also causes non cardiac chest pain which I was occasionally having. I'm doing the excercises I found online which includes massaging from the solar plexus downward which moves the stomach out from the diaphram and I'm getting relief. It's not derivative, but a good indicator that this was the issue. Anyways between the smoking quit and the hiatus hernia exercises it almost feels like I have a 3rd lung immediately after doing stomach massage. Lol....unfortunately any amount of bending over or hard work and I need to do it all over again.

Oh yeah, smokers cough is almost completely gone. Just a little irritation left to deal with. Not bringing up much if any phlegm at all. Don't know if that's bad or good though.
