Is what you are calling porridge oatmeal?
Used to love a huge (salad server size) bowl of it myself. Past few months I haven't been feeling as up for it, but maybe time to try again.
When I worked with handicapped kids I used to have a lesser sized bowl of the oats, but add in yogurt&mixed frozen berries. Really tasty blend too. With a banana and a protein shake on the side :) Got me through the morning...
With COPD though they recommend 6 small meals a day....which s what I have been aiming for lately. Heavy on the protein. Gonna try my "big" oats tomorrow though. Thanks :)
It's a large bowl of uncooked oatmeal with cinnamon -cold vanilla almond milk -a teaspoon of honey -a banana and some other fruit.
My comma key does not work-therefore I use the dash.
Now, I'm hungry! LOL!

Whatever works for each of our varying bodies?
I'm careful with fresh fruit since it adds to IBS. To each his own.
BTW, a half cup of broccoli sprouts has the antioxidant equivalent of 3 pounds of mature broccoli. Broccoli, especially broccoli sprouts, is good for lung health. I grow sprouts on my kitchen table. It's very easy.

LGar - I think I must be very dumb today. Lol.....I spent about five minutes trying to figure out what the M-W-F was. Lol.....when I got to the part "I have no time to eat on M-W-F" I somehow got it fixed in my head that it was a train or a subway you rode to the YMCA in the morning. Argghh.
BoldPrint - Peanut butter and broccoli sprouts in the same sammy? Good grief. Lol.......Please tell me that broccoli sprouts has nothing to do with broccoli and the name is just a coincidence; That these B-sprouts taste a lot like raspberry jam because PB&RJ is yummmm with around 7 exclamation points after it.
Gro100 - While you're eating it do you compulsively sing "spam spam spam spam spam spam, lovely spam." Maybe to obscure a reference but I assure you it's incredibly funny so don't choke if you do sing it.
Curtb - Yeahhh, that's the stuff. That's my treat breakfast makings. Stuff like egg, bacon, sausage, tons of hashbrowns, toast with lots of real butter or the ultimate Saturday morning breakfast of all time for ever and ever Amen......EGGS BENNY. with bacon instead of ham with extra hollandaise sauce. It's so awesome they should change the name to holiday sauce.
Sometimes it is just a cup of tea.
Sometimes it is a fruit smoothie.
Just kind of whatever sounds good.
Oh and sometimes a bowl of ramen or spaghetti.
I tend to eat like a pig when I am hungry and not eat for most of the day when not.
I also like to juice.
Broccoli sprouts are good! They don't taste like mature broccoli. They are similar to alfalfa sprouts (but better) and have a mild pepper taste. They are my favorite sprout. I put broccoli sprouts on salads and, of course, on peanut butter sandwiches. I know it sounds strange, but it's very good. I didn't come up with the idea. I read about it in an article about the super health benefits of broccoli sprouts and tried it. I was hooked my first sandwich.
