About 5 or 6 days ago sitting on the couch I realised I had a bit of a sore upper chest, in the center behind the breast bone and an inch or two under the collar bone. Not much at first but within an hour or so it had become reasonably sore. A dull bruise like feeling that occasionally seemed to throb with my heartbeat and increased if I compressed my chest like for instance bending over to tie my shoe. It remained pretty painful the next day but had begun to back off on the second day, flared up a bit yesterday but this morning I can happily say I don't feel much at all. Still, it's odd and a bit of a concern and I just wanted to see if anyone here has experienced anything like it. Other than this my lungs are producing their normal amount of phlegm which still hasn't returned to completely clear yet since quitting smoking. Breathing doesn't seem restricted like it was with my one and only outbreak last winter which bore no resemblance to these sensations.

I should say as a possible factor even if unlikely that I had a few hours before onset tried to go out and get some exercise. I haven't done this in a few months since it's raining almost constantly now and miserably cold some days. I did about two blocks of a light jog/walk/jog/walk kind of thing before deciding it was too cold and turning back and walking home. It was enough to get the blood moving and the lungs billowing a bit but I didn't want to press it since apart from my physically oriented job of work I've been pretty sedate since winter set in.

Please excuse any bizarre typos of there are any. I did this on my phone which has an auto complete word processing program that can change words on it's own and occasionally spits out some really strange stuff.
