I don't know who on our discussion group mentioned these webinars but I am thrilled with them. Mind you they are long - usually 2 hours and sometimes it is difficult to find them order. The odd one I have gotten nothing out of but then I have only watched about 5 of them. I live in an area that does not even have a pulmonary doctor, so I am learning a lot. I have been fortunate enough to take part in a pulmonary rehab exercise group and the girls leading it certainly know more than most of the doctors in this area.
But back to subject - the webinars- I have have been using 3 different inhalers for nearly 6 years and no one ever told me which order to take them other than using the one rescue inhaler when needed as well as 3 morning and night with my others. Now I know the importance of the correct order. Sounds like a small thing but it has made a difference.
He also explains that these pulmonary diseases are multi factorial and the effects they have on the rest of the body. He really stresses the exercise. as do most specialists. He also said that while most of his patients are well over 65 and have been told that their FV1 rates cannot improve, he disagrees and has helped many people - not big improvements, but for most of us any improvement is big.
Check out these webinars and whoever you are that suggested them, I want to say thank you. I am now going to load my portable O2 onto my walker and see if I can make it out to the garage and back (tough going in the grass.)

I had problems doing the live webinars with my slow internet & computer, so I love that they are available thru youtube to watch.
that way i can stop, rewind, rewatch etc. if the phone rings or i get interupted during watching.
