Hi! I have been reading your discussions since January, so don't feel completely new. I have been diagnosed with COPD generally. Going to see a pulmonologist in June. Just to let you know I'm here. I started feeling like a stalker or something :)

Welcome Dee.......... I would suggest that you start formulating some questions that you might want to ask the doctor based on some of the information that you have seen here.

If you have generally been diagnosed with COPD, I am hopeful that you are in the early stages. Really, I would hope that the diagnosis was wrong but should it be so then you have the chance to really start at the beginning and learn how to best manage it for a longer quality of life.

I've been here since 2007 and so I want to tell you you may be confused at first - even with the prognosis, but after the dust settles you'll find lots of good information here and lots of good people.

Dee welcome to DS and am glad that you at least have been reading behind the window shade..lol
I know it will be hard to formulate some questions to ask the Doc when you go in June but based on your symptoms and what you have read here perhaps you will have some ??? to ask.

thanks everyone. i am scared. i went grocery shopping today and felt like it was a big deal that i bought the groceries, drove home (30+ miles), brought them into our home, and put most of them away. husband was working out of town. we own our own land surveying business. he's the land surveyor and i attempt to keep up on the bills. i am so happy to be here. scared but happy. : )
