Hi Everyone! I'm somewhat new to this group but I've already found a lot of helpful info from all of you. My husband has COPD so I try to find out as much as I can to help him. He's been on 02 24/7 for several years and unfortunately has become rather sedentary. He talks about exercise but getting him to actually do it is easier said than done. Lately he has been experiencing muscle twitches, mostly when asleep, causing his legs (and sometimes arms) to move and jerk - reminds me of when our dog dreams she's chasing a rabbit. Has anyone else experienced this? He's due for a Dr. visit in a few weeks but just wondering if this is something to be alarmed about. He's also on cholesterol medicine which we've read can affect the muscles so we're trying to figure out if it's that or COPD causing the movement. Any ideas or thoughts?
I've had "restless legs" since the 80's - no one knew what it was - you just cannot stay still. While it will hit during the day, most often it is at night and frequently just as you're nodding off - MOST irritating!
Along with the twitchiness (my word for it), my feet apparently flex without stop through the night - I can feel it in my poor shins and calves in the morning, though apparently, I sleep right through it. Blessing that!
The side-effects to the Rx cure made it seem worse than the actual problem, so I looked around and....
HERE'S THE GOOD NEWS: I found a product that works. It costs about $8.00 for a 50 tablet supply. It's called: "Restful Legs" by Hylands - you can find it at drug stores and health food stores and via Amazon, etc. 98% it works wonderfully and pretty doggone quick, too.
