Motorcycle ride

When I saw my pulmonologist on Wednesday I asked him if it was o.k. to push myself when it comes to exercise. His answer was that it would be good for me.

So I decided to try to go for a motorcycle ride today. before my COPD I used to race off road motorcycles.

I found a really nice hydration backpack, that will also hold my m6 oxygen tank. I have a helmet radio set up so I could talk to my son (he was following me in a 4wd truck).

I rode for about an hour and it went pretty well, but next time I will turn up my oxygen one setting.

I posted some pictures of the ride. I am so proud of this accomplishment.

I'm so glad you took a ride! My gf Val rides, and we just got back last week from Americade Motorcycle Rally in Lake George, NY.

SHe tells me, it's such a freeing feeling...driving with the wind, and the openness, and it just has to be experienced.

I rode twice on the back of a motorcycle. Once when I was 20, and I was pretty thin, but put my leg down , and the driver had not put his down and I tipped us over, LOL!!

The 2nd time I loved it.!! Rode on the back of a Kawasaki 850, and just held on and laughed and loved the wind and the free-ness it made me feel!

Once I lose my weight, I will be on the back of Val's motorcycle, holding on and enjoying myself.

Crank up that O2, and have a blast hon!

Way to go Gary. Great pictures. I never did care much for bikes but I sure did like to street race cars. :)

So glad to hear you enjoyed your ride. Maybe now you can do it more often. I use to ride a lot and it's just so euphoric. Just drifting in the wind and the beautiful site. It is so peaceful. Keep on riding my friend.

ahhhhhhh, nothing like the freedom of a bike ride.
glad you got out and enjoyed yourself ... and yes, all we can do is try & learn & now you know you need a bit more O2, but it can be done.
isn't it great to find that we may have a disease, but we don't have to stop what we love?
