Sorry to hear this Zen.....im in so much pain around my rib area im not sure what is going on...will be having an x-ray n scan next week cos even the docs can't give me a reason...

Sorry about the break. We have to be pretty careful moving around and doing things that used to be safe. One of my problems is also forgetting how thin my skin is. A day without bleeding all over he place is rare

Zen I am so sorry to see you having so much trouble. i know this must really hurt. And it doesn't do much for the breathing.

I also have osteoporosis from taking so much prednisone. So far I haven't broken any bones (knock on wood). And as Dennis my skin looks like a war zone. Black and blue and red (from blood) all over.

So sorry!! As if their isn't enough on your plate with this disease!! My skin is thin too -- always knocking into something & bleed!!

Sorry this is happening to you. I have had no problems , so far, except once a few years ago I had terrible back pain and could not move, or even gt out of bed, without screaming. Found out I had a little fracture in the spine!! I have had osteoporosis for a few years, and I am sure the steroids have made it worse. I still take calcium daily, and fox max weekly, which contradicts its self, but that is what Dr. said to do.
Peter, also sorry to hear you are in pain, maybe from the same thing?
It is scary to have to be aware every second of how you move...

one thing i tell people that ask about my oxygen; i can deal with that (so far) it's being in pain that just wears a soul out.

Zen, I am so sorry you having these issues. I guess I much be somewhat lucky in that I haven't suffered these issues. Except for when I am in the hospital, I only take 10mg of prednisone daily. Smiling, but forgetting isn't always a bad thing. I wouldn't mind forgetting for a few days. Take care and hang in there. Bill

Sorry for your break. I too have osteo from the prenizone. Peter I am have the pains around the chest and back area sure hope they tell you something and give me some hope because this has been going on for far too long. I first tries muscle relaxers - did nothing. I thought it must be that I have another inflamation in the lungs so I am back on the antibiotics and prednizone but sure doesn't seem to be helping like it usually does. Good luck all.
