There's plenty of us here who have it as a co-factor as well. Just sayin' smoke is smoke, right? I doubt that legalizing it is really going to make for more stoners honestly. But, the risks should be posted at the weed stores I guess.

unfortunatly, no matter what happens, i think cancer & copd are with us to stay. there are so many causes that there isn't a simple answer.
face it, people don't take care of themselves.
there are so many "variables" when it comes to the cause of COPD, there are no simple answers
all the lawsuits & laws pertaining to cigarettes has not stopped the cancers that are linked to them.
the government can't take care of people and make laws for us "to be healthy" (hell, look how good prohibition turned out LOL)
---i feel that each person needs to take care of themselves. whether something is legal or illegal; i have free will to make the choice of what i do, eat, breath etc.
my choices got me to where i am today not laws for or against anything.

promise= i see the webmd link only used the PFT test for their study---remember; it's the bullae that are affected by pot & that is where my FEV reads good, but DLCO doesn't and thats why my pulm does a HRCT to watch the progress....(this is my experience only, others may be different)
so as with all studies, they only fed the information in that could show results to "help" the cause of legalizing pot.

my personal opinion only here, but i think more focus needs to go into possible cures, treatments etc than trying to stop everthing that could possibly be the cause. (like aids, it's here, now what to do about it.)
in the meantime i know i need to eat heathy, maintain a good weight, excersise, take the meds i have been prescribed etc.
something that i wasn't always good at before this disease & still something i have to work on (cookies do taste so much better than brocoli ;) )

Unfortunately, there's more money in the disease than the cure.

Mchug, Damn I should have smoked more weed and less cigarettes back in the 60's and 70's LOL LOL. All kidding aside, I don't have an issue with it either way, I am not lighting up again. But I kinda understand how smoking weed would almost be a benefit. All the pots smokers back in the day were doing their level best to fill their lungs to the fullest extent possible. I've missed you Dennis. And I agree. They better find some other way besides inhaling it into the lungs! Oh and I'm not saying I'm anti-pot. There are lots of things in this world that are causing us harm. Then there is me now with a 3 in a million chance of developing this rare synovial sarcoma that is beating me up inside right now. It was not from smoke or smog or any other pollutant. I have the abnormal chromosome placement associated with most of the cases of it. None of us really knows what lies ahead in our medical future!
