Had a check engine light come on this morning and of course I said to myself. There's ALWAYS something! At least it is the cars health and not mine this time.

It would be convenient if we had a check light.

My gosh, I'd look like a Christmas tree...

This kind of stuff happens to me all the time. About six months ago when I was having lung trouble and didn't know what was what about it and was miserable as hell waiting for doctors to figure out what was wrong with me, I had jokingly told my foreman at work that if I thought it wouldn't hurt too much that I was considering throwing myself down the stairs to get out of work and go home for the rest of the day. The very next break what do I do? Totally and honestly accidentally I slip on the stairs and smash my elbow on the concrete and have to go home. Boy did I get some strange looks. Me and my big mouth but who'd have thunk it. I hadn't slipped on stairs in years until that day.

Proves my point. Another one of us that digs a hole using a backhoe instead of a shovel...

When we have a day like that, my hubby & i have a running joke. Either he'll say "Should I go get the gun?" or I'll say "Go get the gun & put me out of my misery."
It tends to put things in perspective.
Take care of your foot & don't push it. I sprained my knee 2 years ago & suffered until just recently when I had a cortizone shot, I suffered when walking the whole time. Still sore, but I can get around the apartment now without my cane.

May I ask why you waited 2 years ???

Suffering has been greater than all other teaching. I have been bent and broken but I hope into a better shape.
