Yes I have nodles in my lungs which mean if you have copd/asthuma your lungs start closing up!Body thinks its repairing but it actualy doing damage!And im scared plus no family support or repore!
example stage 1 you get winded easy
stage2winded with little or no activity
stage 3 get winded with activity-need oxygen tank!

Located a 3mm nodule on my lung 3 years ago. Doctor told me that it was very small, and to have it checked every 3 years. Was checked
recently; and cluster of dots on my film. Pulmonary Doctor is not sure if cancer or not; so he gave me medications-----to see if my lung clears. Go back in next month for more tests.
He did let me look at a "zoom in" of my air sacks. Fascinating; as they have never let me see anything. Big holes in my air sacks-------
explains very severe Emphysema and need for oxygen 24/7.

Nodules were seen on my lung CT which turned out to be bacterial infection which evidently colozies and creates nodules. It's call NTB (Non Tubercular Bacteria) infection and is somewhat rare. I am on lots of medicine for the COPD, and 2 antibiotics twice a day for the next year .. it's awful, but necessary. It's my understanding that nodules can indicate a number of things and not necessarily what I have. It has to be tough with no family support, I have some, but not a whole lot .. it's a lonely illness because no one can imagine what you're going through. Ask your doctor for details and keep records so that you can be part of your treatment plan, because you know what your body can take better than anyone. Best of luck to everyone that struggles with this problem. Try to keep your chin up, as in any illness a positive attitude (no matter how difficult) will prolong your years of life.

About a year and a half ago, I had "numerous 2-3mm nodules" all throughout my lungs. My pulmo thought that they were probably caused by an infection that I had previously had. Sometimes instead of just killing germs in the lungs, apparently our bodies can cause cells to cluster around the germs, causing nodules, but isolating the germ and making it harmless.

To follow up, this past Jan, I had a repeat chest CT. The nodules were gone! All were gone, except for one small nodule that had calcified, and is not considered harmful.

I'm sure that all nodules should be followed up on. But they aren't necessarily a problem. I think that if they grew, then they'd be cause for concern.
