Hi my name is Victoria, have endstage CIPD/Emphysema. I'm a single mother of 2 daughters and they are my soul. Celebrating my 5029th bday on Sat. Just trying to find some peace of mind, some understanding and acceptance. I've started isolating out of not accepting situation etc. I have so much life left in me....not ready to Sat I'm done...I'm just not done. Anyhoo, I hope to meet some humans like myself and just get some humor back and friendship. Ok nice to be here lol good night for now ❤

Hi I am new to this sight and this is new to me. I was sick with a cold, broke two ribs, went to urgent care on week end and sent to ER. O2 was low. Stayed in hospital 10 days. Had all kind of test. On O2 @ 4l when walking and 3 l at rest Smoked for 50 years. I quit 4 months ago.

Hi Sharon and Victoria......First of all before anything constructive can be said, you need to provide more information, regarding your COPD....

There is no such term as ''End Stage''....That was the description used in the early years which simply meant that the Medical Science that existed then had no more options available to treat you...It does not mean ''You are going to die''.....The term really is either Severe or Very Severe, depending if you follow the Gold Standard for COPD or Rating via The Bode Index Scale.

So if you can fill in some important details about ...The reason for your hospitalisation and the how they arrived at figuring out your Oxygen Dosage.....and in the case of Victoria, what are you looking for in regards to feeling the way you feel???...There are many ways to break out of this cycle of despair but it is hard to just tell someone you meet on the internet, what would suit them.....

Hi Victoria, ... another human here ;) and in your situation. Coming to terms and acceptance of this dastardly disease is a complex process. If you lived close, I'd say c'mon over and we'll share a glass of wine while trying to figure it out.

I recently joined this group but from what I've read, a lot of the base group left when the sited rearranged itself or something. I belong to two other support groups, but only one of them has a really good and easy format with a large very active group. If a lot of member have left here, I'm not sure how active it is. I'm still trying to figure out this format.

Anyway, welcome to the group!

Hi I have severe emphysema also. Gets to be a struggle to deal with life. This site had some great people at one time but was reconstructed and everyone left. Some have passed on. But a few like gwapo and I come back on occasion.
