My second infusion of alpha-1 antitrypsin was much less scary than my first. Knowing what to expect helps.
No side effects so far. I can't tell if I'm breathing better, but I can tell that I'm not breathing any worse.
My husband is learning how to give me the infusions. He stuck that needle right into my vein yesterday. I think he enjoyed it :)
I tried to think happy thoughts, like how this medicine was getting into my blood and going to my lungs to fight off the bad guys. It helped a little. Thanks for that suggestion from someone in the group. Sorry I can't remember who. . .
