Check with your doctor, they may know what's available in your area. See if your location ha an "Office for the Aging. Are you on Medicare? Sometimes they can help.
If you doctor can prescribe PT/OT and nursing visits. hope this helps.

I do not know of any doctors that do at home checkups and treatments. That does not mean they do not exist. But the advice given is good. Check medicare (if you have it) and also call the social worker at your doctor's clinic and tell them your problem, maybe they can come up with something. Depending on situation, you may be eligible for home health care, but that is just housework and meals, grooming, ect. They may have a nurse come by and do vitals. Ask your doctor if he participates in electronic charting. Mine does, and I have a code I can go to and make appoints with him, order med refills, mail him with questions, ect. But definitely run all this by your doctor and social worker and see what advice they have.

My pulmonologist is about 185 miles away. She has the "my chart" option that Brenda speaks of, but that is kind of "after the fact".

I don't go to a Pulm often because of the distance. My Primary care physician (PCP) does my routine visits.
Every doctor I have ever gone to has wheel chairs available and if i called they would come out and get me & take me back to my car when done.

Have you spoken with your doctor about this? There is home health care available. My mother had that and a person would come 3 times a week for an hour to help her bathe or do lite housework.
the nurse would come once a month to check her, if she needed bloodwork the nurse would come to her home to do it.
but she still had to go see her dr.
Meals on wheels provided a warm meal a day for her.

Hospice is also available. the nurse comes more often, medications are provided by them etc. Even with hospice the doctor does not come to the house. Everything is done with the nurse reporting to the dr.

I just recently learned about the home care service jarca told you about. I'm using them mostly for house cleaning, which has been a God send. It's getting more and more difficult for me to do normal everyday things--just hate it!! I think they will take you to the doc, but am not sure. They will do your shopping, either go with you or go for you. Check into it and see what they can do for you. Contact your county services. The brochure she gave me says Senior Services, In-Home Services. It says "to assist homebound seniors 60 & older." I am not homebound and it was obvious to the lady that came to my home, and she didn't ask, but I think having emphysema filled their requirements. I don't know if you are old enough, but if so it's worth a try, especially if someone would take you to the doc. If nothing else you could get some housecleaning done & meals on wheels & they will change your sheets. And, there is no charge. You can pay what your are able to pay or nothing, if that is the case.
