He just learned Sat. that he has a spot on one of his lungs, and I am freaking out. He quit smoking about 10 yrs ago and then found out about 8 yrs ago he has COPD. Now this. Please I know I'm knew, but I need all the prayers he can get.

Of course you and your husband have my prayers and good thoughts. That is sort of normal with ex smokers and might be something bad, but it also could be scar tissue, calcium deposits, shadows,benign nodules, any number of things that are not lethal

Please calm your self and pray for good results, as we all will. I have nodules on my lungs, that have been there for years, and since they are not growing over the years, Dr, says the chance of cancer is less than 1%.

So think positive ....

Try to stay calm.....I'm pretty sure your doctor will order a cat scan and even a follow-up pet scan. I have had nodules (several) on both lungs for the past 10 years or so. So far, so good!! No noticeable growth or difference in them. Have a cat scan at least once per year.

Take heart and try not think the worse. Most importantly......ask God to surround the problem and help you with it. Can work WONDERS!!

i too have some nodules in my lungs ---first found in 2012, and they haven't grown so dr says are nothing to worry about.
i know this is scary & my heart goes out to you, but keep positive as i think nodules are kind of common with us copd'ers.
my thoughts and prayers are with you.
