Besides FB there are a few of us at the COPD in Canada Forum..which is excellent if you like the old style informative and general open discussion ones, that have all but been replaced by the Supermarket Look......Portalone is about the only other one around but they lack any of the bells n whistles, plus they have people who are part of the furniture..

FB Closed Groups are terrific if you like instant and spontaneous communication and more geared to general support........

Whatever suits you best but I keep dropping past every few days and it is very depressing what has happened here......

Hi Zig, Yes I think they all scattered. A new forum takes time to learn how to navigate. I check back here now and then to see if anyone is here.

Yes Gnott, Jade, Joany, Jarca, Irene, Terry David, and a few others that are inactive are at COPD Canada & the World Forum....Brenda has her own exercise group on FB.....No idea what happened to Stillfox as he was pretty sick before the place changed..,,,Hank dropped past a few times but that is about all.........a few have passed on and you can chase it up in one of the posts here....

I feel like an intruder. Where did all those people go and why did they leave ?? I would love someone to talk to, I'm an 87 year old woman with emphysema and no one wants to talk to me. Can't blame them but A support group would be a real. blessing. Am not senile, don't have Alzheimer's or dementia, keep up with current stuff and do crosswords daily just to prove I can still spell cat---but can't leave house alone and never see or talk to anyone but daughter.

Hi Betty....I can totally understand how you feel.....Here is my humble opinion when we recently discussed why so many members were quiet or never contributed, on my current go to forum, which is COPD in Canada and the World. (Google the link)

Example..we have an early risers bunch in our home group...those of us waking at ungodly hours start the day off there....we already know so much how it is the almost identical reasons that this happens...Just before coming here, there were 18 people online chatting..and it is 7 AM.....I truly believe people want conversation plus advice, specially when one is at different stages in their journey and do not feel overwhelmed with discussions that goes straight over their heads........BALANCE is where success lies and without people like me and others that have that knowledge then the group as a whole will end up another FB Newsfeed....

If anyone comes here there are a few of us at facebook group PB2 Tell what your DS name was so we know who you are. So many have passed since leaving here. gwapo ( Peter) passed about a year ago. Imarighter (Candace), Silverfox Grannie, Mr Puffychestnut , Idozy, have passed, Bless them all, they were all good friends.

It’s sad the new format has affected so many forums on DS. I persevere but many haven’t.
