My common-law husband has c.o.p.d. HE was diagnosed about three years ago. I have had a lot of stress with him being in and out of hospital and he won't quit smoking. It makes me almost cry when I start thinking about his passing away, because at the rate he's going it's going to be sooner rather than later and I'm scared when I think of coping alone or being forced into a living situation I do not want. We live basically on his disability, and have no savings. I live in Toronto, and most of my family are in New Brunswick, and I have no desire to return to live there.
I can empathise with the emotional turmoil you are feeling - I feel it too!
I have only been subscribed to this site for a couple of days, but find that there are very many people here to offer words of comfort and support, so you are not alone!
