also other tubing that's not quite so twisty prone. Sometimes I take my tubing and give it a bit of a soak( keeping water out of the ends) in some warm water them give it a good stretch and that helps.
There's this other nasal cannula called the "smart Cannula with Oxyview by Ingen that has a flow meter built into the cannula.. The dreaded hose is everyone's bane.... I'm sure others will share their tips too!
Try putting your tubing, when new, in your clothes dryer on low heat for about 2-3 minutes max. Then stretch it out.
i do agree about stretching it before using it. it does help some.
