Really don't cry, you should be joyful that of all the tasks you have to do, that all you have on your plate, the housecleaning PIA isn't one of them. But remember, no matter how hard your house cleaner works she will never do as good a job as you could, so be forgivefull, as she works to meet your standards, and your lovely home will be as nice as you want it to be. I have had a housekeeper for years and love it, and would never never want to go back to cleaning this joint again. -- Take care, smile, and be thankful you have the ability to have someone, take this PIA chore off your plate.-- Bill
If I weren't so hard headed, I would probably have already called the one that my hubby has given me the number for. Everytime he gives it to me, I "lose" it and he gets it again. LOL
Just enjoy and think of yourself as deserving to have a housekeeper. Also, have you thought about a private chef? That is what is at the top of my list. :)))
Hugs,
LilEllie, I laughed when I read about a personal chef. My husband does pretty good at that. :)
Imarighter, Thanks for understanding.
FLHam49, Thank you too. Sent you a message. What's a PIA?
I was panicked at first; and tried to clean everything; so my worker would not think I was a "slob". It is funny now; cleaning for my cleaner??? I was embarrassed at the state my home was in; even though it is cleaner than most places. Good luck with your help. Think of it as taking care of yourself. If you do not take care of yourself; no one else will; and you will be unable to help out others when you want to.
It will leave you more energy for fun things and will be a blessing before you know it!!
In the end, I just did it myself, however, I know I'd have a different attitude now and really just enjoy the extra help - maybe just curl up with a good book while the floors are being moped!
Seems some of us ladies are an odd lot...when we are quite capable we always say we'd like a housekeeper...then when we get one we feel inadequate or guilty! LOL
