We used many of these same upper body techniques to help bedridden patients (after Dr. approval and safety evaluations.)
My physical therapist. helped me modify some of these to meet my individual situation and how to work them into use with activities of daily living to conserve energy and avoid burning too many calories.
That was very helpful. The breathing exercises are the way I was taught. That flute blowing shape to the lips was what I was trying to explain to someone once. Don't remember. I've been doing Chi Gong. It's a series of really simple exercises that can be easily adapted to pursed lip breathing. In fact that fellow they had doing the breathing in that clip was doing something with his arms that was very close & it's fun. I do it standing. Exhale on down movements. Deb
