Turned out it was broken, BP is fine.Thought, oh, whoopee, good news for once. But it was followed by new diagnosis. Now I have diabetes.Emphysema, diabetes, hypothyroidism, acid reflux and nuropathy-- and I think I have an ingrown toe nail. Daughter says old age is no place for wimps.I am definitely wimp.Have finished famous book. Just in time.As all the world knows, it is about this family Iiving n Texas during the great depression.There is a nasty rape, some insanity, two murders and some prostitution. Gritty. I'm self publishing a couple dozen just for the hell of it. Will mail a copy to long ago friends who will wonder what they are supposed to do with it,will toss it in nearest drawer and forget it. It is not the great American novel and my hero, EdMcbain has no competition to worry about. Will send one to, "Bob" , Texan stuck in Idaho if he gives me an address.Daughter loves murder mysteries solved by little old ladies who own book store and have a cat.She says my book is "Harsh and too grim". True, my only little old lady is a religious fanatic who goes totally nuts.
