My fiancé and I have been engaged since 2012....yes, long engagement. He lives in Pennsylvania and I live here in Washington State. After flying back and forth for years, he is moving here so we can finally begin our lives together. The problem is, he has COPD and emphysema. I have been aware of his diagnosis, but was willing to stick with him because I love him. I asked him to please quit smoking, which I thought he did until I found out he had been smoking behind my back for some time. To this day, he still has not quit smoking nor changed his eating habits (20 lbs overweight), and he is not physically active. He has not or will not do anything about it, yet he expects me to be his support system. I am so sick of listening to him cough continuously. His reply to this was once he moves over here, then I will be able to encourage him more and he would be more likely to quit. I call BULLSHIT. I think he is being very selfish in his part. I think he is being very unfair to me by subjecting his poor health on me. We are planning a life together and the last thing I need is someone to die on me after finally getting together after these long stretched years of a long distant relationship. He expects me to be supportive no matter what. I am extremely frustrated.

Any suggestions from anyone?
