Good info. Thanks for sharing. Just wanted to add Ensure plus 350 calories or generic twice a day including small meals helped me to put on weight. Pretty darn hard to eat when you can't breath!

excellent article, it's hard to get food into my husband. I'm always trying to find ways of hiding it so he doesn't have to eat so much. Breakfast consist of cream of wheat with a carnation instant breakfast mixed with whole milk, then I add flaxseed and fruit. It's all in one bowl and he doesn't even realize all he is getting. Greek yogurt in shakes, carnation instant breakfast in cocoa. It all has helped him maintain his weight, for he lost for a while.

'Preciate the information; I'm always looking for some help in this area. It's very hard to find "How to GAIN WEIGHT" articles - many people don't believe such an objective exists.

I have been underweight most of my life and know how hard it can be to gain weight. I even tried using a diet the opposite of a loosing weight diet in desperation to gain weight because there isn't much info in how to gain it lol. Do you think maybe we could start a business in helping skinny people? LOL. Bet we'd make a lot of money.

Forgot to say people don't understand skinny people are the direct oppiste as over weieht people. It's just as hard for skinny people to gain weight as it is for over weight people to loose weight. hard as that is to believe it is 100% the truth.

I have gad the same problem with being underweight all my life. People don't understand that we skinny folks have the same issues with gaining weight.
Since COPD & CHF, I try to eat more, but I have so many restrictions, it's very hard to eat healthy and add extra calories.

It is difficult to gain, but the food we get to eat is a lot more exciting than the diet foods! I cannot imagine having to carry around more pounds--it's difficult for me to wear a heavy coat. So, I prefer to have the underweight problem. But they do have less wrinkles, especially at my age!!
