I was surprised to get the injection, and It may not be for everyone, but it sure did help me.

Like you thought Holly.. its often given to give a "Boost" during a flair till the oral pred starts its mojo.
Its sometimes also referred to as Solumedrol

light rays, I am so glad it worked for you too, its amazing how much better I felt.
Today I find I am still rattling and breathless on exertion, but I feel so glad I had that boost start to the treatment!
