I have noticed since I finaly gave in and started taking steroids my temp runs hot very easily with exertion any body els experience this????

Corticosteroids come with a vast array of side-effects; some merely annoying, others quite serious. An elevated temperature IS a possible side-effect. You definitely need to let your doctor know about it, BUT DONT STOP until you do. A particular effect may be associated purely with one particular formulation, or it may be the result of an interaction with other comorbidities, medications, supplements, or activity. Only a fully qualified respiratory expert who knows your complete medical condition and history can evaluate what may or may not be happening and modify a treatment program to address the problem.
What can be too easily over-looked with Cortisteroids, particularly if one does experience a side-effect and reads all the horror stories, is that treating COPD in general is still poorly understood (or rather the pathology itself is no way near as well understood as many other medical conditions). However, there is one very basic life-threatening fully understood problem COPD is characterized by inflammation of the airways and the lungs. If this inflammation is not reduced and not brought under control ones quality of life will decrease faster, they will experience more frequent exacerbations, hospitalizations, and a quicker death. Period. So far (well, except for Daliresp which has its own issues) corticosteroids are the best and over-all the only reliable medication for reducing inflammation. If you have COPD corticosteroids will be in your immediate future, and if you are like most of us, you will likely experiment with three or more different formulations and learn to adapt to an equal, if not more, number of various side-effects until you find something you can *live* with. (For awhile anyway until it is time to find something else. Smile)

Just thought about another point. This type of sweating can also be a sign of diabetes -and- steroids do mess up blood sugar.
When is the last time you had an A1C blood test, which measures your blood sugar over time?

I live very far away from my doc., well far away in my book. So my tests are usually done on the day of visit I try to plan ahead.
